Greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

The work in Córrego Fundo is going well. Córrego Fundo (which literally means ‘deep creek’) is a city of about 6000 people. Many of the people live very simple lives, especially those that live outside of town. When we visit there, it’s like we have been transported to another era. The people are friendly and respectful. You can easily spend an entire morning speaking with just two or three people about the Lord.

In July we were able to hold an afternoon service in the square in the middle of town. A group of teens came from the church in Formiga. We had some wonderful singing, which caught the attention of the people who were mulling around. After the singing, Bruno preached a message on hell. We had a number of people stop by to listen to the preaching. One of the people who stopped by, was a man named Pedroso. He was an older man in his seventies. He didn’t receive Christ that day, but said we could come and visit him at his home. The next week we were able to visit Pedroso at his home. He listened intently as Bruno shared the gospel with him. Bruno asked him if he wanted to receive Christ. He did. He received Christ and was gloriously saved that day. Pedroso lives about a mile and a half from the church. He has been faithful to come to the services since he was saved. Please pray for him to grow in the Lord. Please pray for us as we seek to win souls. 

During July and August we had four saved and five visitors to the church. Please pray that the Lord would use us in Corrego Fundo.

Please pray also that the Lord would enable us to acquire a tent for our future ministry. Our desire is to use the tent to hold meetings in new cities where we want to start churches. We would be able to ship the tent in Bro. Bob Nichols Jr.’s container which will ship at the end of this year or the beginning of next year. We still need about $6300 to purchase a tent.
