November-December 2009
December marks the two-year point for us in Brazil. Time has flown by
for us. Looking back, it was hard to imagine being able to understand
the language and getting accustomed to the culture. Yet now, it’s
hard to imagine what it was like to not understand the language.
We are so thankful for everyone who prays for us and for our ministry.
Thank you for the many wonderful gifts and cards that were sent to us.
Please know that they are a tremendous encouragement to us.
Ingrid and the baby are doing well. We are still getting used to the
idea of being parents. We are so thankful that the Lord has chosen to
bless us with a child. Please continue to pray for Ingrid and the baby.
We should know the gender of the baby by the end of January. The baby
is due the beginning of June.
The work in Arcos is going well. We have had several young people saved
at the Saturday youth meetings. Two of the teens will be baptized this
coming Sunday. Please pray for us as we witness in Arcos.
Please pray for Bob Nichols Jr. and his family as they finish
preparations to come to Brazil. They are scheduled to leave for Brazil
the beginning of February.
Please pray for Camp which will be held February 13th – 17th. The
camp is held during the time of Carnaval and is an escape from the
wickedness that goes on during Carnaval.
Thank you again for your prayers and financial support that allow us to
serve Christ in Brazil on your behalf.
