September-November 2010
We had our first missions conference in October. I preached on Faith
Promise missions and challenged the people to give “beyond their
power” by faith. At the end of the conference the people
committed to give over R$500 a month to missions. This is a tremendous
victory, and we praise the Lord for how He has worked.
We have held several Friday night services at different homes in the
community. Sometimes neighbors are more willing to come to a home for a
service, than they are to come to church. In one of our recent services
we had a gentleman receive Christ. His name is Oberdan. Please pray
that God would work in his life.
Joshua is doing great. We are still amazed that God has blessed us with
a son after so many years. He is still a little under weight, but his
length is in the normal range. Praise the Lord we were able to get his
American birth certificate and passport.
Please continue to pray for Pastor Weber. He has raised about one third
of the support he needs to go full time in the ministry. Currently he
is working a full time job.
We praise the Lord that our permanent visas have been approved. These
are good for ten years. Thank you again for your prayers and financial
support.
